Checking entries on the list of electors

To verify your entry on the list of electors, you have to contact the returning officer at his office usually situated at the city hall of your municipality.

Also, you received, at least on October 15, a notice informing you that you are registered or not on the list of electors of your municipality.

Your name is not on the list?
You have found an error?

You must go to a revision office to register or to correct your registration. A relative, your spouse or a person who lives with you can make these applications on your behalf.

To register, you must present two identification documents.

Special note!
If, on September 1st, you have been the owner of an immovable or an occupant of a business establishment for at least 12 months, and if you are not domiciled in the municipality, you can ask to be registered on the list of electors and exercise your right to vote. Simply make a written application to the municipality to have your name added to the list of electors. Contact your returning officer to know the deadline for submitting this application.

The co-owners of an immovable or co-occupants of a business establishment must designate from among themselves, by means of a power-of-attorney, the person to be registered on the list of electors.

Important!

You must be a qualified elector to exercise your right to vote.

Where is the revision office located?

For information on the location, dates and times of your local board of revisors, please see the notice sent by your returning officer, or contact the returning officer at his or her office.
